The Neighbourhood Project
This project provides information and referral services, provides community information and activities, builds, supports and maintains community service system networks and plans, develops and supports new and existing services to meet the community’s needs.
Volunteers offer one on one computer tutoring to people to give them confidence to develop computer skills.
Meeting Rooms At The Neighbourhood Centre
The Neighbourhood Centre has rooms available for meetings & interviews. These can be booked ahead on a 'first come, first served basis' but priority will be giving to not-for-profit community groups and organisations, self-help groups etc.
A group of enthusiastic knitters who meet monthly to produce squares for the ABC ‘Wraps with Love’ program, as well as items for various other projects. This group provides an opportunity for people to use their knitting skills in a social gathering.
Sensory stimulation has been shown to not only bring enjoyment to people living with Alzheimer's or Dementia and also assists in fighting against anxiety and depression. Come to The Neighbourhood Centre and join in this fun activity with the "Knit Happens Group", on the 1st Tuesday or each month from 12noon to 1.45pm. Knitting needles and easy instructions will be provided, aswell as free tea and coffee.
State Debt Recovery
The Neighbourhood Centre is an approved organisation for Work Development Orders which enables eligible people to pay off their debt through volunteer activities.
Free Legal Advice
A free Legal Advice Clinic is provided each Thursday at The Neighbourhood Centre. Bookings are essential.

Tax Help Program
Provides assistance to people in genuine need, to help them comply with their tax obligations at tax time. This program runs from late July to the end of October.
