University of the 3rd Age

This is an education program for the over 50s. Classes are offered in the day time and are informal. They are designed purely for the love of learning and have no exams, assignments or qualifications.

U3A offers a wide range of subjects including academic, arts and crafts, leisure activities etc. Actual classes may change from term to term however some examples of Bathurst U3A classes are - Literature, Psychology, Armchair Travel, Cryptic Crosswords, Australian History, Current Affairs, Drawing, Art Appreciation, Bridge, Mah Jong, Quilting etc

Anyone over 50 may become a member of U3A by paying a yearly subscription of $15 which entitles them to attend as many classes as desired.

A U3A newsletter is available at the beginning of each term and can be obtained from BINC at 96 Russell Street, Bathurst.

U3A also offers Occasional Lectures. The topics for the Occasional Sturt Lecture series will be announced at the beginning of each term and will be included in the Newsletter.
