Funded by the Australian Government Department of Family &Community Services and the State Department of Ageing, Disability & Home Care

Aims:
- to promote volunteering
- to assist organisations in developing sound volunteer management practices, in conjunction with the Volunteering Australia Standards for volunteer involving organisations
- to enhance dissemination of information about volunteering
- to assist in the development of training programs for volunteers

Assistance and Information is provided on:
- national standards for volunteer involving organisations
- setting up a volunteer program
- policy and procedure development
- volunteer supervision
- volunteer insurance
- volunteer job descriptions
- rights and responsibilities for organisations and volunteers
- confidentiality issues
- orientation and training
- recruiting and retaining volunteers
- management committee training
- governance and operational issues
- establishing a volunteer resource agency for your community
- state, national and international volunteer initiatives
- OH&S training for volunteers

Can this service assist your organisation?
If your organisation fits these criteria you can be assisted;
- non profit community based organisation
- an organisation which involves volunteers
- the organisation has volunteer insurance
- has an Occupational Health and Safety Policy which volunteers are trained in during the orientation process
- located in the Central West or parts of the Orana Far West regions
