Come and Try Archery

Description and focus of program: Archery is a fun social sport, and Bathurst Archers is a friendly club with a proud history in the community.

Our beginner’s classes are popular as an affordable and accessible way to get into a sport that is great for overall physical health, mental focus and wellbeing. Archery helps with upper body and arm strength, and it provides opportunities for walking, standing, balance improvement, eye hand coordination and mental focus. Archery is a social and a competitive sport. Coaches are on hand to provide support and guidance.

Participants must wear covered shoes. When outdoors sunscreen, sunglasses, and a soft brimmed hat (such as a bucket hat) are encouraged.

Cost: $10 (The beginner’s class fee of $10 covers temporary membership, insurance, tuition and use of club equipment. There is no need to have your own equipment.)

The Club is also registered to accept ‘Active Kid’ Vouchers. A voucher worth $50 will pay for 5 lessons.

Where: 255 Boundary Road, Bathurst. Parking is free and onsite.
When: Come n Try and Beginner’s Classes run on Saturdays.

• Beginner’s Classes from 9.30 to 12 pm. Please arrive at 9.30 for sign in and equipment allocation before class starts at 10 am.
• Women and Girls sessions from 12.30 to 3 pm. Run every second and third Saturday of the month. Please arrive at 12.30 pm for sign in and equipment allocation before class starts at 1 pm.

Fitness requirements: Archery is an inclusive sport with a range of club equipment available in different sizes and weights.
Eligibility: Beginners classes are inclusive, from age 5 and up.

You can also text the club mobile 0455 309 596 if you would like to book a spot in a class. Contact the club if all the tickets on Eventbrite look like they have ’sold out’ as we may have a cancellation and a spot available.
