Engaging face to face and via phone with the client; act as a positive role model; empower women to build self-esteem, confidence and motivation. Increase women’s knowledge of services in local area (Barnardos can help with this). We encourage people from all walks of life with all sorts of skills to apply, including lived experience, business people and lawyers. It is essential that the volunteer resides in the Central West and also must be 18 or older. There are a lot of benefits to volunteering with Barnardos, eg, making a difference and also mentoring is one of the most valuable journeys you can undertake.
