World Kindness Day – Scooter Giveaway: 09/12/2020

In November, The Neighbourhood Centre celebrated World Kindness Day, in partnership with

The Rotary Club of Bathurst, by running a promotion where a mobility scooter valued at over $4000 is given away.
The competition’s winner is Richard Webster, 87-years old local, whose daughter Tracey Hicks, told us is usually a very active man but recently had a stroke and now is having mobility difficulties. He still has a busy social life, contributing to his sense of belonging and enjoyment of life. “The mobility scooter would allow me to connect to the community with independence, not having to rely on people to get me to places. I am glad to receive the scooter.”

In the photo L to R rear we have Clara Ferrari and Therese Short (TNC), Chris Bennett (Rotary), Irene Browning (donated scooter), and Chris Morgan-Hunn (Rotary); and foreground winner Richard Webster.
